We can provide ongoing support for your referring therapist and team during the loan via our support packages. Through the support packages, we walk with you every step of the way to customise or adjust equipment to suit you, so you get the most out of it.
You can prepare a list of products you are interested below to obtain a quote for funding purposes if required. You can request a hire by completing our ComTEC Equipment Library Hire form to get started.
$120.00 per month
Each iPad or dynamic device requested for hire is setup by a ComTEC therapist which involves one hour of time. This is a required fee for iPad hire.
iPads are available to hire with software pre-installed. The hire fee is a flat rate no matter how many apps you trial. View apps here: Apps & Software page.
For NDIS participants, the following line items can be utilised:
- Equipment hire:
Core Supports – Consumables budget
‘Low Cost AT For Communication Or Cognitive Support’
- Packaging and Delivery:
Core Supports – Consumables budget
‘Disability-Related Health Equipment and Consumables – Set Up/Training’
- Set up by SP/OT (devices with software e.g ipads/laptops):
Capacity Building Supports – Improved Daily Living (CB Daily Activity)
‘Assessment, recommendation, therapy and/or training (Incl. AT) – Other Therapy’

‘Capacity building supports for early childhood interventions – Other Professional’

Note: If you would like to purchase your own iPad after trialing one of ours, Beyond the box (registered NDIS provider) can sell you a device with the required AAC software already installed.
